Schon beim Empfang spürte man diese Herzlichkeit von Siggi und Max. Die Wohnung Lavendel selbst, sehr sauber, gepflegt, modern und liebevoll eingerichtet. Die Donauwelle gleich kurz nach der Anreise war der Hammer. Wir bedanken uns und freuen uns auf das nächste Jahr bei Siggi und Max. Einfach stark LG Silvia, Andreas und Leon.

A very nice, fully equipped, well-maintained, and extremely quiet ground-floor holiday apartment not far from Freyung. We were a couple visiting with two small (well-behaved and older) dogs and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the kitchenette was equipped with everything you could possibly need. A small terrace with a table, chairs, and a parasol was located in front of the private entrance. A very well-maintained, beautiful garden, and the house is at the end of the street (the street is on the outskirts of town) with no through traffic. In the small, very tranquil village of Hinterschmiding, there is a very well-stocked supermarket, and a large Bavarian inn (Gasthof Breit in Vorderschmiding) is a two-minute drive away. Overall, there are great excursion and hiking opportunities, and thanks to the nearby town of Freyung (only a five-minute drive), many shops, restaurants, and the former site of the State Garden Show are quickly accessible. We had a great rest and enjoyed many wonderful nature experiences. Overall, highly recommended, hence 5 out of 5 stars.

Quietly located, with an indoor pool and sauna, and an outdoor pool in the summer. Formerly a hotel complex, now individually owned, each apartment is self-catering. Each apartment is individually furnished and equipped. In some units, the bathrooms still need to be renovated. Very nice playground. Dogs welcome. We really enjoyed it. We were here again in 2025, this time in the summer. This time, not in a ground-floor apartment, but in an attic apartment that we rented directly from the landlord. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't great during the first week of our vacation, and we had constant rain, but we were still able to make good use of the indoor pool and sauna. Our apartment was great; the landlords attach great importance to good beds and mattresses. The bathroom in this apartment has been completely renovated and is very nicely equipped. Unfortunately, this time we noticed that the cleanliness of the indoor pool and sauna has declined significantly. This area really needs a thorough cleaning every evening or morning before opening, especially when almost all the apartments are occupied. But otherwise everything was to our satisfaction.
