The house is located in a wooded area, which means there's plenty of greenery all around. Since there's only one street with (mostly) single-family homes branching off it, and the house is located near the end of the street, it's very quiet. The house is flooded with light thanks to its many windows. We really appreciated the large kitchen. We didn't lack any kitchen utensils. I would describe the house's furnishings as high-quality. We appreciated the underfloor heating in the bathroom and the large bathtub. The cleanliness of the house is also worth mentioning. Communication with Mr. Gülzau (the landlord) was very positive right from the start. We also felt very comfortable on site, and someone was always available. The only minor criticism is the sagging dining room and garden chairs, the couch, and the mattresses, which suggest years of use. I would recommend replacing them. Nothing was damaged or dirty, but our backs would have appreciated more stability. All in all, our expectations were exceeded and we can only recommend this gem.

We felt very comfortable with the Schopmeyer family. The Kirchwerder guesthouse impresses with its quiet location, well-kept rooms, and warm hospitality. The loving atmosphere made our stay something special. We thank you very much and would love to return.

A fantastic holiday apartment; we felt very comfortable. If we come back to Hamburg, this will be the first place we'll book. The train connection to the city center was perfect. We always drove from the central road, and there were plenty of secure, affordable parking spaces.
