This apartment is a private residence on the banks of the Giudecca Canal: this home will make your stay in Venice much more pleasant and romantic than a simple hotel room. The apartment has been tastefully restored and furnished. It has two large windows, one on each floor, offering spectacular views of the wonders of Venice: La Salute, St. Mark's Square, the Doge's Palace, and San Giorgio. Apartment Description: – Ground floor: double bedroom. – First floor: living room; dining room leading to a fully equipped kitchen, separated by a sliding door; double bedroom with private marble bathroom with a large shower. – Second floor: living room leading to a small double bedroom separated by a partition wall. Bathroom with shower. Guests will have access to all rooms in the apartment. We will be happy to provide them with any information about the house and the city during check-in. After 7:30 pm, the check-in fee will be increased by €40, which will be collected directly upon arrival at the apartment. We welcome guests and check them in and out. We provide information and recommendations about the apartment and the area. Giudecca is one of Venice's best-kept secrets: an enchanting place inhabited almost exclusively by Venetians, it is home to some of the lagoon city's best bars and restaurants. St. Mark's Basilica in Venice is the city's main church, the metropolitan cathedral, and the seat of the patriarch. Together with the bell tower of the same name and Piazza San Marco, which takes its name from it, it is Venice's principal monument and one of the symbols of Italy. Until the fall of the Serenissima Republic, it was the palatine church of the adjacent Doge's Palace, governed as a territorial prelature under the guidance of a primicerio appointed directly by the Doge. It took on the title of cathedral in 1807, when it was transferred here from the ancient cathedral of San Pietro di Castello. A vaporetto (water bus) stops right outside your door: Piazza San Marco is just three stops away. The apartment's location is particularly pleasant; it's on Fondamenta San Giacomo, on the Giudecca island, and just 30 meters from the Redentore boat stop. From there, you can reach San Marco in 9 minutes! There's a direct boat to the Biennale and the Lido. From Piazzale Roma (arrival by taxi from the airport), from Central Station, and from Tronchetto (arrival by car), boat line 2 passes directly in front of the house.
