We rented the Freesenhus Achtern Diek very spontaneously because of its location, but what we found was an absolute dream in every respect.
Super clean and beautifully laid out. The positioning of the bedrooms on the upper floor makes you feel right at home in the spacious living area downstairs with access to the terrace. A wonderfully cozy place – furnished with obvious attention to detail, guaranteed to make you feel at home, simply adorable. The beds are great, nothing is missing, the kitchen is superbly equipped, and the lovely Frisian coffee mugs made every morning sweeter :-)
Not to forget – that's why we chose this particular apartment: the location was – as expected – a definite A+. Right on the dike, you can be on it in 20 seconds and have a dreamy, seemingly eternal sunset before your eyes. We sat every evening on the bench, which was obviously placed solely for this apartment, directly at the level of the house on the dike – glass of wine in hand – absolutely perfect.
Anyone who enjoys long walks and loves water, mudflats, plenty of nature, and an endless horizon will be happy here – just like us.
Therefore, we can wholeheartedly recommend this vacation rental in every respect. Just don't be afraid of grazing sheep :-)

We spent our summer vacations there in 2021 and 2022.
The house is superbly equipped and has everything a family needs. It is lovingly furnished and was very clean when we moved in.
The layout of the rooms is also very good, and the space is perfectly adequate.
The house is quietly located, directly behind the dike, so you can quickly reach the North Sea in just a few minutes' walk. There is a small terrace and plenty of lawn for the children to play on.
Also nearby are a playground, a small indoor swimming pool, and a small shop that sells fresh bread rolls in the morning.
We had a wonderful vacation at the "Freesenhus Achtern Diek" and will definitely come back.
