We stayed at the Strandhotel Lobbe for a week. It's a small, family-run hotel, well-organized, with a beautiful garden and really close to the beach, about 80 meters from the Baltic Sea.
We were really impressed by all the hotel staff, from the room staff to the manager. They were all very friendly and open, and very relaxed. Dogs are very welcome here; the waitress (I unfortunately forgot her name) always had a treat for them. With the waiter, Michael, you felt like you'd known each other forever; he was so open and friendly, and always had a joke on his lips. You can also tell that he enjoys his job.
The breakfast is simply fantastic, with so much variety and choice, and all at an unbeatable price. The restaurant is also highly recommended.
The rooms are quite small and have some potential for improvement. They're a bit dated, as are the hallways. As a guest, I think they need some modernization, as we didn't find the value for money quite right.
Check-in was a bit bumpy, as we had a nearly 700 km drive, so we left early and arrived at the hotel at 12:30. Unfortunately, the reception isn't actually open until 2:00 PM.
That meant a 1.5-hour stop at the neighboring fish stall (where you can eat delicious fish sandwiches) because we weren't really noticed when we were there. At 2:00 PM sharp, the owner called his employee to take over.
But check-in was very good, easy, very friendly, and open.
Our small comment would be that the windows definitely need fly screens... because the place is unfortunately teeming with spiders and mosquitoes. They had to be removed repeatedly after airing out.
But all in all, it was a very nice stay, and we can recommend this hotel, just for the staff. :-)
