What a paradise! We'd love to give the finca 100 stars, but even that wouldn't be enough.
A super warm welcome from Nico and Maria, who welcomed us with open arms and showed us around. Afterward, they retreated to the other side of the property. How convenient – one phone call and they were there to help, always present in the background yet completely respecting our privacy. It couldn't have been more pleasant. Nico and Maria are very kind, cosmopolitan people who really enjoy their finca, the peace and quiet, and the idyllic setting. Nico speaks good English, and Maria makes up for it with her laughter and friendly gestures.
The finca itself is beautiful. From the terrace, there's a view of the greenery, everything is well shaded, there are various seating areas, and a fantastic pool with a view of the Tramuntana Mountains. The pictures, even those taken in the evening with the beautiful lighting, are 100% accurate.
The kitchen is well-equipped with plenty of dishes, a variety of glasses, a refrigerator with an extra-large ice compartment, etc. The mattresses are super comfortable, there were small and large pillows, mosquito nets on all the windows, and overall, we slept like champions.
It's absolutely quiet at night. There was apparently a rooster at one point, but Nico quickly got rid of it. The chicken coop is on the other side of the finca, about 100 meters away; there's no noise or smell from there. Nor is there any from the goats and sheep, which are kept a good distance from the finca. Quite the opposite – we really miss the quiet bleating that we could occasionally hear in the distance during the day.
The finca is surrounded by pure countryside, no power lines, no roads, no sounds of civilization like cars, farm machinery, etc. An absolute dream! It took us about 6 minutes to drive along the perfectly manageable gravel road. The drive to the supermarkets in Manacor took about 15 minutes, to dream beaches like Cala Mesquida or Cala Agulla about 35 minutes, and to all other corners of the island about an hour. It may sound inconvenient, but for us, it was definitely worth the drive. How rewarding it is to return to paradise in the evening after a trip to the bustling and touristy Mallorca. This finca is a treat for the senses and the soul!
If you're looking for peace and relaxation and want to take a dip in the illuminated pool at night – it doesn't get any better than this! Simply beautiful.
PS: Addendum from our teenagers – the WiFi was great :-)
